Son adquiridos durante nuestra vida por influencia del sistema educativo y el entorno. Seg\u00fan como fueron recibidos pueden ser estables y permanentes en el tiempo. A determinada edad definimos los que regir\u00e1n nuestras acciones, a partir de un proceso de reflexi\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p><p>Al aplicarlos se transforman en un h\u00e1bito y, consecuentemente, en una virtud destinada a propiciar una coexistencia arm\u00f3nica. Evitemos compararlos con una \u201ccamisa de fuerza\u201d que impide el pleno y libre desenvolvimiento. Todo lo contrario: contribuyen a encaminar nuestro cometido dentro de un conjunto de par\u00e1metros de convivencia con la comunidad en la que interactuamos.<\/p><p>Los<strong> \u201cvalores corporativos\u201d<\/strong> son parte de la cultura organizacional y delimitan los aspectos y las ventajas comparativas que guiar\u00e1n su desarrollo. Es decir, muestran sus creencias de manera compartida, estipulan el comportamiento de sus integrantes y se orientan en concordancia con sus planes de actuaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Su establecimiento proporciona cualidades internas y externas; ayudan a comprobar si van por el camino correcto para alcanzar sus objetivos; tienen vital trascendencia en la imagen del negocio. Estos principios rectores deben estar expresados en su visi\u00f3n, misi\u00f3n y reflejarse en sus pol\u00edticas. Representan una especie de \u201ccolumnas vertebrales\u201d; convendr\u00eda que sean claros, de aplicaci\u00f3n obligatoria, f\u00e1cil implementaci\u00f3n y explicados en los procesos de inducci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n. Su utilidad compromete a todos sus miembros.<\/p><p>Existen los <strong>\u201cvalores corporativos\u201d<\/strong> de empresa, de empleados y del producto o servicio. El primero, son los adoptados por la organizaci\u00f3n como entidad; el segundo, corresponde a la conducta de los integrantes de la instituci\u00f3n; el tercero, hace referencia a las caracter\u00edsticas de sus bienes o servicios.<\/p><p>No obstante, en ocasiones son concebidos como un conjunto de vocablos declarativos, simb\u00f3licos, carentes de trascendencia y que, \u00fanicamente, est\u00e1n enmarcados en un cuadro en las oficinas, expuestos en memorias anuales y acogidos en funci\u00f3n de coyunturas, estamos an\u00edmicos o intereses. Incluso se exige su cumplimiento a ciertas instancias en contradicci\u00f3n con el proceder de quienes ostentan posiciones de liderazgo.<\/p><p>Su correcto uso demanda que quienes ocupan altos rangos posean el perfil \u00e9tico para avalar un orden acorde a los \u201cvalores corporativos\u201d. Conviene evidenciarlos en cada \u00e1mbito, resoluci\u00f3n y acontecimiento. Tienen que estar presentes en todos los grupos de inter\u00e9s; por lo tanto, estar\u00e1n en los acuerdos de su directorio como en el desempe\u00f1o de quienes laboran en ventas, marketing, log\u00edstica, etc. y describir la relaci\u00f3n con el p\u00fablico interno y externo.<\/p><p>De all\u00ed, la importancia que en los procesos de selecci\u00f3n de personal y de ascensos, se eval\u00faen con detenimiento los valores del postulante o candidato a un cargo de mayor jerarqu\u00eda, con la finalidad de garantizar su coincidencia con los est\u00e1ndares institucionales. Sugiero coherencia conductual a fin de asegurar la vigencia.<\/p><p><strong>\u201cLa importancia de fomentar los valores hace parte del ADN y la personalidad de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, lo cual se refleja en los comportamientos de los colaboradores. Los actos ponen a prueba su validez. As\u00ed lo podemos constatar en el abogado de un estudio jur\u00eddico que alarga un juicio para no perder a su cliente; el m\u00e9dico de una cl\u00ednica que somete a sus pacientes a chequeos innecesarios para aumentar sus honorarios; el profesor de una entidad educativa al que le copian su separata para d\u00e1rsela a un colega amigo de la autoridad acad\u00e9mica; el turista de cuyo desconocimiento se aprovecha el hotel o restaurante para cobrarle sumas excesivas por un servicio, etc.<\/p><p>Tan solo observar el proceder del personal de atenci\u00f3n al cliente permite deducir su existencia. Tambi\u00e9n, debemos considerar como elemento determinante la atm\u00f3sfera de trabajo y los niveles de confiabilidad y transparencia en la relaci\u00f3n interpersonal entre sus integrantes. No se requiere un an\u00e1lisis complejo para deducir c\u00f3mo se encuentran posesionados. M\u00faltiples sucesos cotidianos explican sus reales alcances.<\/p><p>Es pertinente su incorporaci\u00f3n en los c\u00f3digos o manuales de \u00e9tica y, con especial \u00e9nfasis, entender su impacto favorable en el clima laboral, en el proceso de fidelizaci\u00f3n del colaborador, en la toma de decisiones justas y equitativas, en la atracci\u00f3n de socios estrat\u00e9gicos, en el sentimiento de confianza, respeto y credibilidad en la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica, entre un sinf\u00edn de beneficios.<\/p><p><em><strong>\u201cTus valores definen quien eres realmente.
