Debemos reconocer visibles avances en relaci\u00f3n a su protagonismo, aunque todav\u00eda est\u00e1 ausente en innumerables empresas en donde prevalecen afanes lucrativos, intereses particulares, carencia de transparencia, maltratos laborales, promoci\u00f3n enga\u00f1osa de productos y\/o servicios, entre otras acciones, que muestran los retos pendientes acerca de esta tem\u00e1tica.<\/p><p>Si laboramos en entidades con un desenvolvimiento al margen de miramientos \u00e9ticos, observaremos frecuentes situaciones de abuso de poder, conflicto de intereses, nepotismo<strong>, <\/strong>soborno<strong>, <\/strong>lealtad excesiva, falta de dedicaci\u00f3n, deshonestidad, abuso de confianza, encubrimiento y m\u00faltiples anomal\u00edas lesivas en el orden interno y externo.<\/p><p>No obstante, la \u00e9tica debe adaptarse a las peculiaridades empresariales a partir de las diferencias existentes en su quehacer principal, n\u00famero de trabajadores, \u00e1mbito de operaciones, sistema legal, etc. De all\u00ed la necesidad de implementar los criterios de integridad en funci\u00f3n de su realidad. Es posible construir estrategias ajustables a cualquier negocio interesado en tornarse \u00e9tico.<\/p><p>Su inclusi\u00f3n comenzar\u00e1 definiendo su visi\u00f3n, misi\u00f3n, valores y pol\u00edticas. Los valores corporativos difieren en cada compa\u00f1\u00eda. Su precisi\u00f3n es el primer paso para edificar la organizaci\u00f3n; forman parte de la cultura y delimitan los aspectos y las ventajas comparativas que guiar\u00e1n su desarrollo. Muestran sus creencias de manera compartida, estipulan el comportamiento y se orientan en concordancia con sus planes de actuaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Es indispensable que coexista, por parte de los directores, la convicci\u00f3n sincera de su interiorizaci\u00f3n. Esto requerir\u00e1, en ciertos casos, de transformaciones fundamentales en sus procesos. Su liderazgo y empe\u00f1o permitir\u00e1 la adopci\u00f3n de esta iniciativa como propia: se recomienda predicar con el ejemplo. Tengamos en cuenta que la \u00e9tica est\u00e1 presente en cada decisi\u00f3n adoptada y, por cierto, cuando m\u00e1s alta es la jerarqu\u00eda mayor ser\u00e1 el componente \u00e9tico.<\/p><p>Al actuar en concordancia con las reglas establecidas, los empleados se sentir\u00e1n impulsados a proceder de igual modo. Por el contrario, al omitir sus deberes y estar por encima de los postulados instituidos, exhibir\u00e1n negativas o contradictorias pr\u00e1cticas que influir\u00e1n en el grupo humano a su cargo. Aplicar criterios transversales y ajenos a diferencias jer\u00e1rquicas es un factor inequ\u00edvoco para su \u00e9xito.<\/p><p>La \u00e9tica va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de evitar pr\u00e1cticas ilegales o sancionar procedimientos, involucra fomentar un ambiente caracterizado por l\u00edderes capaces de representar pautas referenciales, de reforzar los valores en el d\u00eda a d\u00eda y efectuar t\u00e1cticas encaminadas a reforzar las posturas deseables, a fin de alcanzar el bien com\u00fan. En s\u00edntesis, \u00e9sta debe entenderse como parte activa de su marca.<\/p><p>Es imprescindible enfatizar que un profesional despliega un conjunto de principios inherentes a su estructura individual. Es decir, cada persona los adopta en los variados escenarios de su interacci\u00f3n. Elegir un colaborador con criterios morales coincidentes con los exigidos por la compa\u00f1\u00eda, ser\u00e1 concluyente para prever su actitud. Es imprescindible l\u00edderes que conlleven un permanente ejercicio de h\u00e1bitos orientados a constituirse en modelos inspiradores.<\/p><p>Otro aspecto significativo es el C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica. Es un mecanismo cada vez m\u00e1s utilizado a fin de establecer los c\u00e1nones que caracterizan el proceder de sus miembros. Adem\u00e1s, en concordancia con sus valores, detalla las conductas que no pueden ser toleradas, auxilia en la resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos o dudas, coadyuva en la creaci\u00f3n de una \u00f3ptima imagen e incrementa el sentimiento de identificaci\u00f3n e integraci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Aconsejo dise\u00f1ar un sistema efectivo de divulgaci\u00f3n de actividades y proyectos para compartir con su p\u00fablico interno, clientes, sociedad y gobierno la informaci\u00f3n de sus logros, planes futuros y aportaciones a la comunidad mediante sus programas de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE). Una compa\u00f1\u00eda transparente mantiene canales veraces de comunicaci\u00f3n que contribuyen a su excelsa reputaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>La \u00e9tica coincide y complementa el anhelo de obtener prestigio, confianza y credibilidad. Soslayemos concebir su ejercicio como un gasto opuesto a la obtenci\u00f3n de leg\u00edtimas ganancias econ\u00f3micas. Es pertinente comprender su val\u00eda en las nuevas inversiones, en la fidelidad del comprador, en el devenir de los trabajadores, en el clima laboral, en el aumento de su rentabilidad y en la exitosa presencia en el mercado.<\/p><p>Una vez m\u00e1s, reitero: su aplicaci\u00f3n no entra\u00f1a dejar de lograr beneficios econ\u00f3micos a medio y largo plazo. Facilita la creatividad, la innovaci\u00f3n y posibilita encaminar el desempe\u00f1o dentro de un marco de directrices. Es un elemento central que realza e influye en la conciencia social. Vienen a mi mente las expresiones del abogado y acad\u00e9mico Michael Josephson: \u201cLa \u00e9tica no es una descripci\u00f3n de lo que las personas hacen; es una prescripci\u00f3n de lo que todos
