La din\u00e1mica de vida tan apremiante que afrontamos exige preocuparnos por este asunto para lograr una mejor integraci\u00f3n en nuestro entorno laboral, familiar y amical.<\/p><p>Las habilidades blandas son aquellos atributos que permiten actuar de manera efectiva. Confluyen una combinaci\u00f3n de destrezas destinadas a tener una buena inter-relaci\u00f3n; es decir, saber escuchar, dialogar, comunicarse, liderar, estimular, delegar, analizar, juzgar, negociar y arribar a acuerdos. Engloban un conjunto de aptitudes transversales e incluyen el pensamiento cr\u00edtico, la \u00e9tica y la posibilidad de adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio. No obstante, evitemos confundirlas con las \u201chabilidades duras\u201d. Estas \u00faltimas se refieren a los requerimientos formales y t\u00e9cnicos necesarios para operar con eficacia una prefijada actividad.<\/p><p>Es importante afirmar que, en funci\u00f3n de las tareas profesionales que cada uno cumple, estar\u00e1 definida la trascendencia de poseer estas pr\u00e1cticas. Por ejemplo, quienes trabajan en trato al p\u00fablico o demanda de amplia interacci\u00f3n con entidades, departamentos, proveedores y afines. Aunque su existencia facilitar\u00e1 una mejor analog\u00eda interpersonal cualquiera sea el escenario, jerarqu\u00eda o nivel de responsabilidad.<\/p><p>\u201cLa combinaci\u00f3n efectiva de las habilidades duras y las habilidades blandas, estaremos en capacidad de resolver determinadas situaciones sociales cr\u00edticas o en capacidad de resolver problemas y alcanzar el \u00e9xito en las gestiones gerenciales en los \u00e1mbitos laborales, en incluso sociales y familiares. Reconociendo la importancia de las habilidades blandas, podemos referirnos a las \u2018habilidades para la vida\u2019. No pueden dejar de estar integradas\u201d, afirma Edgar Eslava Arnao, doctor en psicolog\u00eda organizacional.<\/p><p>Habitualmente, el profesional se encuentra abocado a su perfeccionamiento y actualizaci\u00f3n en asuntos de su especialidad y descuida las implicancias de las habilidades blandas en su cometido. Lo mismo sucede entre esposos, amigos o afines. Se asume como usual la confrontaci\u00f3n destemplada o la ausencia de mecanismos de autocontrol emocional.<\/p><p>Desde mi punto de vista, hemos llegado a aceptar la intolerancia, la ausencia de empat\u00eda, la deficiencia para trabajar en equipo, el maltrato al pr\u00f3jimo, las limitaciones afectivas y la impericia para superar la frustraci\u00f3n, sin considerar su grave perjuicio en la convivencia social. Tengamos en cuenta que la reacci\u00f3n \u201cafiebrada\u201d, tan com\u00fan en nuestro medio, muestra sin ambig\u00fcedades un deterioro de la empat\u00eda, la comprensi\u00f3n y el nacimiento de comportamientos autoritarismos da\u00f1inos al entendimiento social.<\/p><p>Existen sinn\u00famero de hombres y mujeres competentes que \u201cpierden los papeles\u201d en una discusi\u00f3n, nunca asumen un desliz, exhiben actitudes autosuficientes frente a una cr\u00edtica, emplean argumentos prejuiciosos para rechazar las pol\u00edticas corporativas, revelan poca condescendencia acerca del mundo interior de los dem\u00e1s y exponen gestos defensivos. Todav\u00eda se piensa que carecer de habilidades blandas no repercutir\u00e1 en la prosperidad individual. Qu\u00e9 error tan frecuente.<\/p><p>Dotar a un sujeto de estas habilidades, reitero, sin diferenciaci\u00f3n de su estatus en el organigrama de la empresa, posibilitar\u00e1 que su ocupaci\u00f3n contribuya a una mejor atm\u00f3sfera laboral y una m\u00e1s eficiencia productividad. Adem\u00e1s, de un \u00f3ptimo trato con la audiencia interno y externo de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p><p>Sin embargo, constato en ejecutivos -de entidades p\u00fablicas y privadas- una renuencia a abordar estos pormenores. Recomiendo evadir omitir la influencia de su proceder en sus subordinados. Jefes con elevados \u00edndices de tolerancia, empat\u00eda y autoestima sabr\u00e1n enfrentar los retos, problemas y vicisitudes con asertividad. Lograr\u00e1n afianzar su liderazgo, su capacidad de persuasi\u00f3n y el involucramiento de sus colaboradores en los proyectos a su cargo.<\/p><p>Observo su carencia en estudiantes de educaci\u00f3n superior que aspiran a insertarse en la aviaci\u00f3n comercial, la hoteler\u00eda o como asistentes de gerencia. Actividades que demandan una visible y permanente disposici\u00f3n de interacci\u00f3n, sociabilidad, afabilidad y manejo de las emociones. La realidad cotidiana me da elementos para aseverar que hay una profunda inconsistencia en las habilidades blandas de los venideros profesionales.<\/p><p>Debemos considerar c\u00f3mo los procesos de selecci\u00f3n laboral incluyen estos componentes que hace algunas d\u00e9cadas eran ajenos en el dise\u00f1o del perfil exigido por las empresas. Por lo tanto, se producen enormes frustraciones en el postulante al constatar su incoherencia entre su grado de entrenamiento en habilidades duras y sus flaquezas en habilidades blandas.<\/p><p>Hace algunos d\u00edas al reflexionar con mis alumnas sobre el elevad\u00edsimo clima de confrontaci\u00f3n general en nuestra sociedad, comentaba acerca del conjunto de factores que inciden en hacer nuestras existencias m\u00e1s tensas, agotadoras y atiborradas de nuevos conflictos humanos. Est\u00e1 realidad deber\u00eda incentivarnos para desarrollar las habilidades blandas y, de esta manera, exhibir las herramientas que inspiren una saludable coexistencia colectiva.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<a
