Decorative plate “Still Life with Flowers”, Dutch history The Golden Age is a period in Dutch history that coincides with the seventeenth century. The Republic of the Seven United Netherlands flourished in areas such as the arts. The image on the plate is based on Still Life with Flowers in a Glass Vase, a painting by Jan Davidsz. De Heem (Utrecht April 1606 – Antwerp between September 18, 1683 and September 18, 1684). Jan Davidsz. De Heem was a Dutch painter who only painted still lifes. Still, Life with Flowers in a Glass Vase can be seen in the Rijksmuseum. Made in the Netherlands by Heinen Delfs Blauw.
